Ladies' Bible Study
We're a ladies' Bible study that meets Tuesday mornings at 10:30, from September through May. ALL ladies are welcome.
The Blessing Box
The Blessing Box is a faith-based effort to fight hunger and poverty throughout Rock Hill. There are several drop-off locations for non-perishable donations around town, including a Blessing Box on FCC's campus. The boxes are replenished daily, and supplies for each box are delivered by FCC members and funded through FCC's local missions program.
Piedmont Music Academy
We're a non-profit organization that exists to meet the needs of home school students in the greater York County South Carolina area. Our purpose is to support home school families in the musical education of their children in a caring and creative environment. We emphasize Christian values that will foster thoughtfulness towards others, while encouraging high expectations for success through instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles.
All PMA students will participate in at least one outreach concert per year, a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert. Students that are SC residents will have the opportunity to participate in events hosted by the state of SC if they are interested. This can include Region & All-State Band for those that audition and qualify. Practice is held at First Christian Church on Thursday afternoons during the school year. https://piedmontmusicacademy.org/
Outside Groups
Girl Scout Troop 1287
We're a local Girl Scout Troop who currently has young women between 3rd and 7th grade (Brownies through Cadettes). Girl Scouts is much more than a cookie. But if you give a girl a cookie, she can change the world. Our troop has participated in numerous projects like collecting and making bags for the homeless, making blankets for homeless (https://www.facebook.com/MakingMats/), volunteering at the animal shelter, singing Christmas carols at nursing homes, and reading to seniors at assisted living facilities. We learn important life skills and we have a lot of fun. Girl Scouts is a girl led organization, so every troop is different, but we all have one goal in mind: shaping young women to have the confidence to reach for their dreams, no matter what those dreams are. If you have a young woman who wants to learn more about the world, have fun, and give back, look into Girl Scouts. And if you are looking for a way to give back to your community and make a difference in the world, look into volunteering (https://www.hngirlscouts.org/en/about-girl-scouts/join.html). For more information about our troop, you can contact us at girlscouttroop1287@outlook.com
